One of the most stunning features of Google Chrome is its Web Store. There are literally thousands of free apps available. Everything from games to utilities is available free, making Chrome a splendid feature-rich browser. Comic book enthusiasts too can take advantage of the browser’s dedicated Web Store by adding the best Google Chrome comic book readers to their browser. There are quite a few gems, including the most popular Marvel comics:

Chrome users rejoiced at Marvel’s decision to make their comic app available via the Google browser. And within a few months, Marvel Comics proved to be one of the best apps. Once you’ve installed this application, just click on the Browse button to search and read more than 2500 issues.

There’s also a separate tab to browse for free comics, and this feature doesn’t disappoint at all. There are plenty of classic comics to read without paying a dime, including the first issue of Daredevil and plenty of X-men comics.

Marvel Comics for Chrome browser performs quite smoothly. While the app does utilize the HTML 5 concept, you may still be experience some issues when loading comics.

Nonetheless, the Chrome is top-notch regarding the in-build reader that lets users zoom-in, magnify text, change display modes and panel transitions. Users can sign-up and buy their favorite web-based comics online effortlessly.

The app’s interface is smooth and has well-spaced tabs and buttons with big bold letters that makes it easy for Chrome users to navigate and browse several free and paid comics.

The Comic Section

This Google Chrome comic app is the best place to read all web comics online. The application’s clutter-free interface and smooth transition allows you to read some of your favorite webcomics right on your browser.

The app has two big, fancy-looking arrows that help readers to browse different web comics. Clicking on the right arrow will take you to the first web comic. You will find a wide range of unique, free webcomics after each click. Comic Section updates with the latest comics regularly, giving readers a dose of the top web comics on their Chrome browser.

The Comic Section is optimized for Chrome to offer better image quality. The app loads feeds and so users can expect a new webcomic every time the respective feed updates with new one. Users can visit the webcomic site directly by clicking on the comic.

The application also lets users share their favorite webcomic strip via Facebook (You will see a big blue FB button at the bottom of each webcomic). If you are a big fan of unique webcomics, then the Comic Section is the right place for you.

Graphicly

Graphicly offers a great way to explore, read and share amazing comic books from the best storytellers worldwide. The Chrome edition packs some great features, including an option to read comic books offline and subscribe to digital editions by paying via Google Checkout.

The app’s simple interface allows readers to browse and preview over 3,000 comic book titles from over 100 publishers. The application allows you to read the first two pages of the paid comic book and then prompts readers to buy the digital issue via Checkout. There are also plenty of free books to read.

Graphicly’s unique feature is its separate tab for each subject, be it Comics, Creators, Publishers or Characters. I loved the separate tabs dedicated entirely to comic book characters and creators. The Characters tab offers insightful trivia on every known and unknown comic star. All characters are listed alphabetically with a separate section for featured characters to browse and share via Twitter.
